In accordance with the express terms of the Fleet Agreement, all Postmates retain an individual obligation to determine the most effective, efficient, satisfactory, and safe manner to complete Deliveries in accordance with applicable laws. Typically, this includes a responsibility to prevent damage to or spoilage of perishable items such as food and drink. For example, our most highly-rated Postmates meet their customer and merchant expectations by:
- keeping themselves, their vehicles, and equipment clean;
- using hot/cold bags as appropriate to maintain consistent and expected food temperature;
- avoiding direct contact with prepackaged food; and
- treating all items for delivery with the appropriate care.
No matter what, Postmates should always use their best judgment for safety practices.
