Please note: 1099 MISC forms were mailed out on January 31st, 2019. If you qualified to receive one (see below), it should be delivered to the address we have on file within 5–10 business days.
Depending on how much you earn in a year, you may or may not qualify to receive a 1099 MISC form for your taxes. Here's how it's broken down:
- More than $600: Postmates who've earned at least $600 or more in a year will receive a 1099 form which documents your annual earnings. You'll use this when filing your taxes.
- Less than $600: If you made less than $600 with Postmates in a year, you won't receive a 1099. Don't worry—you can file your taxes without it.
What if I don’t receive a 1099?
Regardless of whether or not you receive a 1099, you still need to report all income made on the Postmates platform when filing your taxes. If you need help determining how much you’ve made in 2018, you can refer back to your Weekly Pay Statements sent via email.
What if I have general questions about filing my taxes?
We recommend downloading the Stride Tax app, which you can use to track your mileage and learn more about filing your taxes with a 1099.
